When reproducing your artworks onto canvas, you will need to decide how to handle the sides, as it is not possible any painted edges that the original may have.
Different artworks suit different wrap styles depending on the content or the intended usage. The styles we offer are:
- Solid colour: either white or black, or a matching colour picked from within the artwork
- Mirror: where the side of the artwork is duplicated and mirrored around the side to give the impression of continuation without losing any content
- Enlarged Image: The artwork is sized and/or cropped to suit the desired size, content loss depends on the desired stretcher bar compatibility.
- Cloud Texture: Similar to solid colour, two colours are picked from the image to give the edges a bit of texture instead of plain colour
- Edge Stretch: Similar to a mirror wrap, but stretches the image
- “AI fill”: very artwork dependent, canvas sides are filled with generated content using the artwork as a reference to give a true continuation of the artwork around the edge
All of our wraps can be made to suit any size stretcher bar, our default sizing suits up to a 38mm frame, with printed guidelines to aid in accurate stretching.
